DEWA Conducts Workshops for Application Features

Dubai Electricity & Water (DEWA) recently organized a series of workshops for the staff from The Dubai Municipality, The Dubai Police and The RTA at their head office. Backing Smart Dubai’s quest to have all government partner entities working in cohesion, these workshops were conducted to brief DEWA’s partners on new service features within the DEWA application.

“The wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, are what inspire Dewa’s ambitious ideas, along with the UAE’s vision for 2021 to become the greatest country in the world. Dewa organized the workshops in cooperation with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police and RTA, to show the unified responsibility and commitment towards our country, and serve it in the best way possible,” commented Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dewa.

“They also mirror Dewa’s efforts to enhance sustainable development within Dubai, as well as enhance its position as a global hub for smart government services, providing the highest quality services for its citizens and residents at an international standard. Dewa makes every possible effort to accommodate and initiate teamwork to improve processes, simplify procedures, and improve services,” he added.

In support of the Smart City Initiative (to transform Dubai to the smartest city in the world), launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; the application enables clients to send feedback regarding any faults that may occur at DEWA locations, thus improving inter-government organizational cooperation and by result more efficient services relayed on to the consumers of Dubai.

The feedback received from other government bodies has assisted DEWA in adapting to any form of change while providing uninterrupted smart government service with the end goal of simplifying the lives of end users. This has additionally provided customers with the resources to communicate any feedback they may have in a user-friendly environment where in DEWA can analyze the data and put their best effort forward to accommodate their request(s).

“This new government service is a positive step towards transformation in a smarter direction. It adopts the use of new and modern services through the implementation of a modern application,” noted Rashid Bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of Distribution Power of Dewa.
